29 Mar Yoga for Pain
Our three-month Yoga for Pain program provides the tools and support to build a yoga practice that will help you move better, manage stress and get back into activities you love. There are online options for those unable to attend a course in person.
Who is Yoga for Pain for?
Yoga for Pain is for people with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and other forms of persistent pain who are ready to take an active approach to their pain care. It’s a good way to begin yoga when you’ve experienced pain for a length of time, to ensure you develop good practices and skills to take into your daily life. Yoga for Pain is also great for those who have previously loved yoga and would like to be able to enjoy it again. The program will gently challenge you to examine habits that may be exacerbating your pain – and to find the courage and patience to build new ones.
Yoga for Pain equips you to confidently choose a yoga class in your community after the course, or to continue with a home practice in the comfort of your own home.
The 12-week Yoga for Pain program runs once per year in Perth, and twice per year as an online group course. Check the event schedule for dates or email email@example.com for more information.
Individual consults provide all the benefits of Yoga for Pain, with additional personal attention, modifications to suit you, and a schedule that suits you. Private consultations are offered in person in North Perth. Home visits and Skype sessions are also available. Pricing and information is available here or call 0450 393 336 to discuss.
Yoga for Pain self-led courses
As well as the twice-yearly online group courses, Yoga for Pain Part 1 is now available as a self-led course. With options from $19 it’s an affordable way to learn the principles of effortless movement and good yoga practices when you have pain. Purchase Yoga for Pain Part 1 here (Begin with “foundations” and progress to “weekly practice”) or go to the Schedule for online group course dates.

"The Yoga for Pain meditations are my go-to medicine for migraine management. Rather than meds my kids know to roll out the yoga mat"
Yoga for Pain Online is such a worthwhile programme. My posture and breathing has changed for the better – I sit at the computer for many hours and find it is easier to sit taller. I’m certainly having less headaches too.
I never thought I’d be able to get up off the floor from lying down. Now I can even kneel to garden.”
I am very glad to have been recommended to Finding Yoga by my physiotherapist. Gentle yoga has become an important part of my approach to pain management.
I'm now seeing that when I give myself permission to rest, I’m not worried about things getting done. I actually get more things done because I’m not reacting to exhaustion.
Your Yoga for Pain online course has been very beneficial. I am managing to do the movement sessions twice a week and I find the breath awareness and guided meditations really help for relaxing and softening the pain of fibromyalgia.
I am really enjoying Yoga for Pain Online and being able to revisit it multiple times. I am amazed at how I pick up on different things each time. There is so much in there to learn.
The most valuable thing for me today was learning to accept what my body is capable of today.
Thank you once again for providing a wonderful time with safe exercise and relaxation.
Yoga for Pain is excellent for anyone in pain who needs gentle guidance and to learn to accept and not judge their body and their limitations.”
